We are dedicated to educate the whole child and provide our students with a safe, happy nurturing and learning environment. The existence of four house system fosters a healthy competitive spirit, brings out the best in gifted children and gives them strength to work to fulfill their aims and ideals. We have

 abundance of literary activities like debate, declamation, extempore, story telling, paper reading, creative writing etc that provide ample opportunities to the students for the harmonious development of their personalities and broaden there mental horizon.
An alert and active mind resides in a healthy body. The school is not far behind in the sphere of games that form an integral part of school curriculum. It provides extensive arrangements for the physical activities, athletics and sports, judo karate, aerobics gymnastics etc. Expert Coaches are appointed for the games in which students show special promise. The school encourages the sportsman spirit, physical and mental health of students by regularly organizing matches and races. The school also has a band to liven up every programme held in the school.

SPOT (2022-2023), SCIENCE PROMOTION ORIENT TEST (PRELIMS) was conducted by  VIKRAM SARABHAI SCIENCE
FOUNDATION KOCHI in 
ONLINE MODE from 27 Jan, 2023 to 30 Jan, 2023. Armaan Bahri (6A) qualified for the Final Level in Junior Category to be conducted on 20 March, 2023. 
The principal Dr. Sonia Mago congratulated him for his operose efforts and wished him good luck for final round.

In National Astronomy and Science Olympiad, Shambhavi (IV) won GOLD MEDAL and Merit certificate. She is also selected for Level-2. She proved her mettle of intelligence and presence of mind. With this same conviction, our students went for Techfest-2023 organised by Apeejay College of Fine Arts. The day bloomed with a bouquet of bounties and wins as we bagged Champions Trophy. Our students have shown their creativity in various fields and won prizes.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago congratulated all the winners and appreciated their winsome talent. She further explained that one should never stop learning and putting best efforts as one’s efforts are the steps to the ladder of success.

This is well proved by Anshya Aggarwal (10-C) as she got selected for VVM Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan Exam. State Level VVM(2022-23) camp was held at SHRI RAMASHRAM PUBLIC SCHOOL AMRITSAR on 29.01.2023.

ANSHYA AGGARWAL, class X, on the basis of competitive exam got selected for the state Level camp too.

After competing in class X category there she further got selected for the NATIONAL LEVEL CAMP. She was awarded cash prize, merit certificate and a trophy also.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago congratulated her for her sincere efforts and also motivated her to do her best in her future exams. Heartiest Congratulations to Anshya for her success.

EVERY MOUNTAIN TOP IS WITHIN REACH IF YOU JUST KEEP CLIMBING

Keep climbing and you will definitely reach the top. On 17-1-23, DAV College, Jalandhar organised Vigyan Mahotsav. Our students MehakPreet (9-A) and Manisha (9-C) participated in POSTER PRESENTATION COMPETITION and won second prize. They have presented their idea in an eloquent manner.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago motivated both the winners and told them to put their best efforts where ever they participate.

Inspire Manak Awards is a scheme of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for innovation in science pursuits for inspired research. Its really a great achievement as four of our project entries submitted to the department of science and technology got selected for the prestigious award for the session 2022-23. Each of them is awarded with Rs. 10,000 for project development.

The selected project entries are submitted by Suhana Jain(8-C), Jiya Mago (10-D), Mehakpreet (9-A) and Ramnik Kaur (10-B)

Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music has everything to serve us from effervescent emotions to serene mindful moments. It spreads us whole pallete of emotions.

Harivallabh Sangeet Mahasabha is an elite musical maestros assembly where one can soothe sensed by dipping themselves in the melodious rapture. Our students performed in this great sangeet samelan and are appreciated as they presented Saraswati Vandana there.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago also accompanied them to motivate them for their emasculate performance there.

The beauty of developing a video making plan is that you are making it easier for the viewer to be exposed to the information you are trying to communicate. A video when related to story that touched your lives, surely has deep impact upon the minds of audience.

Sahodaya Digital Story Telling competition was held at Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara and we have bagged FIRST PRIZE. Kavya (12-A) and Money karan (11–A) put in their creativity to mingle with thoughts and presented a thoughtful idea that was a grandstand.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago too felt delighted and congratulated both of them.

GOLDEN PRINCIPAL AWARD FOR DR SONIA MAGO AT FAP ,3 TEACHERS AND 3 STUDENTS OF SWAMI SANT DASS PUBLIC SCHOOL JALANDHAR,HONOURED 

IT WAS ANOTHER MOMENT OF GREAT PRIDE FOR THE FRATERNITY OF SWAMI SANT DASS PUBLIC SCHOOL, JALANDHAR WHEN PRINCIPAL DR SONIA MAGO WAS AWARDED GOLDEN PRINCIPAL AWARD BY FAP AT CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY ON SUNDAY. This award is given on the basis of participation  and attaining merit  in Olympiads and cocurricular achievements. Earlier also Dr Sonia Mago has been recognised for her achievements as best dynamic principal, and best teacher by Federation and association of private schools (FAP). 

The name of Swami Sant Dass Public school, Jalandhar reverberated with great pride and honour in the auditorium at Chandigarh University during the prize distribution of FAP awards on Sunday. In a glittering ceremony, attended by dignitaries, three teachers of the school were honoured. Mrs Raakhee Gaba and Mrs Charanjeet Kaur, both science teachers, were awarded as “Best teacher “and Mrs Sonali Bathla Vij,PGT English, was awarded “Inspiring teacher “ 594 teachers were given awards in the presence of President Mr Jagjit Singh Dhuri  .In the same function students of the school also got honoured for their extraordinary achievements. Adya Agarwal, student of class fifth was awarded the state winner in mega combat Olympiad .Raghav Arora and Dhavnesh  Bhagat,students of  XI Non Medical were honoured with trophy for Pride Of Punjab. 120 meritorious students were awarded for their academic achievements.These students have represented the school in various events and have always brought accolades for the institution. The principal Dr Sonia Mago congratulated the teachers and the students on this momentous achievement and appreciated the recognition they have brought to the school.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. The most deepest emotions are delivered best through poetry. Gratitude is such an exalted emotion that requires eloquence of thought and expression. In Sahodaya Inter school Poem Recitation competition held at Shiv Jyoti Public School. Chetna of V D stole hearts of audience when she recited her poem with impressive intonation and diction. She bagged SECOND PRIZE among 39 participants.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago also applauded her win in inter school competition and boosted her too.

Personal excellence comes when you give room to your thoughts. A debate on a topic is the refined path to put forward unthoughtful thoughts that remain subsided sometimes. 14th All India Darshan Singh Memorial English Debate competition was held at State Public School and 66 speakers from 33 schools presented their views on much debatable topic ‘ Are corporate jobs another form of slavery?’ Kavya of XII A participated and has won FIRST PRIZE making all of us proud. She received a trophy, a certificate and cash prize of Rs. 2000/-.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago also congratulated her and appreciated her speaking skills and expression of thoughts.

Raaghav and Dhavnesh get the Naval experience with THINQ 2022

Raaghav and Dhavnesh, students of Non medical from Swami Sant Dass Public School Jalandhar, got a once in a lifetime opportunity to sail the high seas at premier naval bases of Indian Navy by qualifying the THINQ semifinal rounds. 7500 schools participated in the elimination round and 2200 got selected for the second elimination round. Then 1076 teams were selected for quarterfinals and final 16 were selected for semifinals. The elimination rounds were conducted online and semifinal rounds were conducted on INS VIKRAMADITYA. A praiseworthy achievement indeed. Before the semifinal rounds the students of qualifying teams visited INS Hansa air station at Goa. Then the teams and accompanying teachers reached INS Kadamba, Karwar. The drawing of lots for the semifinal took place at INS Vikramaditya. The teams sailed to new Mangalore on INS Vishakhapatnam and INS Kochi. The teams also witnessed the passing out parade at INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY, Ezhimala and visited the various blocks and squadrons. The students had an enriching experience inculcating a rich sense of duty and patriotism. The students were given separate Tshirts for separate occasions and a NOKIA tab and semifinalist certificates by Naval Chief Mr. Hari Kumar. Mr. Surinder Singh, the accompanying teacher was presented a crest of INS Vikramaditya and a medal as a souvenir was given to school principal.

The Principal Dr. Sonia Mago congratulated the students and has always encouraged students to reach out and explore their potential by participating in events of such magnitude and impact.

Vanshika ( X B) clinched FIRST POSITION and Drishti (VIIIB) got Consolation as they added another feather in our cap.

Rayman’s Efforts in Innovation get recognition at District Level

The innovative efforts of Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar in promoting scientific temperament got recognition at state level district exhibition. Rayman, student of class VII, got an opportunity to showcase her efforts in scientific innovation which have been shortlisted among 50 Best Innovations under INSPIRE MANAK AWARDS 2022. Her works were displayed with 55 other exhibits from Jalandhar, Nawanshahar and Kapurthala and she got selected among best three from Jalandhar at a district level competition organised by District Education Department at Meritorious School Jalandhar on 17-18 November. She will now participate at StateLevel competition.

Rayman had cleared the first stage of these awards by making a hand sanitizer from ingredients available at home, in her second stage she had worked on an E – Commerce Product Review Supervisor under the training of Intel AI for youth trainers. She was earlier felicitated in a ceremony held at Delhi.

The Principal Dr. Sonia Mago appreciated the efforts of the budding scientist and encouraged students to participate in such endeavours which challenge the young minds.

Swami Sant Dass Public School bags second position in panel discussion

The eloquent orators of Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar bagged second position in Interschool Sahodaya Panel Discussion Competition held at CJS Public School on 11th November, 2022. The competition involved two rounds which included questioning and interacting with other panelists, moderator and the judges on the very important topic of Moral Values and their integration in the education system. The team of Khushi XI B and Simran XA got selected for the final round and impressed the audience with their confidence and communication skills on the very burning issue of Mental Health Hazards -Causes and Remedies. The Principal Dr. Sonia Mago congratulated the winners and encouraged students to participate in such interactive sessions which are instrumental in holistic development of students.

Swami Sant Dass Public School bags two prestigious FAP awards-Best School in Innovative teaching practices and Dynamic Principal award

Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar marched forward on it’s trail of bagging prestigious awards by clinching two honours at a splendid ceremony organised by FAP (Federation of private schools and Associations of Punjab) at a mega award ceremony organised at Chandigarh University on Saturday. The award ceremony was attended by eminent personalities and Principal Dr. Sonia Mago was awarded Best Dynamic Principal by Honourable Speaker Punjab Legislative Assembly S. Kultar Singh Sandhwa. The institution was awarded as Best School for Innovative Teaching Practices by Governor of Punjab Banwarilal Purohit. These awards are conferred on basis of merit and to schools and leaders imparting excellence in the field of teaching and education.

Adya Agarwal of Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar impressed the jury with her convincing role play of an acid attack victim in a tough competition held at Swami Sant Dass Public School, Phagwara.There were 34 teams in Inter School Sahodaya Role Play Competition and Adya Aggarwal bagged a consolation prize for her heart touching performance.Principal Dr.Sonia Mago congratulated the budding performer and motivated students to participate in activities which give them a platform to express varied aspects of their personality.

Street Play by Swami Sant Dass Public School Jalandhar bags third prize in Sahodaya competition

The students of Swami Sant DassPublic school mesmerised the audience with their powerpacked performance on the theme “Akelapan: Ek Peeda” at inter school Sahodaya Nukkad Natak competition held at Mayor World School, Jalandhar. 

In a highly competitive event which hosted 33 teams, the artists of Swami Sant Dass Public school Jalandhar ,were able to create an impact with their acting prowess which highlighted the importance of family in overcoming loneliness and bagged the third prize with their impressive performance. Principal Dr.Sonia Mago congratulated the budding artists and emphasised the use of this medium to create social awareness.

Some people know adequately to secure a niche among many. Our heartiest congratulations on incredible performance of our students, Raaghav Arora and Dhavnesh Bhagat(11-A) in the Indian Navy Quiz THINQ 22 and their selection as top 16 Semi-finalists at National level.

Indian Navy and NWWA, invited Top 16 teams for the Semi-finals scheduled onboard the Aircraft Carrier INS Vikramaditya at Karwar .

This participation will be one of the most memorable and unique events of their lifetime. Besides participation, they would also get an unparalleled opportunity to experience the Naval way of life and interact with the Naval leadership.

7500 schools took part all over the country. Around 2200 teams were selected for 2nd Elimination Round and 1076 teams were selected for Quarter Finals. It’s really an incredible and appreciable achievement on part of our students as they are among the top 16 teams.

The principal Dr. Sonia Mago in her congratulatory message motivated them to come with flying colours in the next level too.

RAYMAN SHARMA AMONG TOP 50 IN INSPIRE MANAK AWARDS

Rayman Sharma’s  project was selected for ‘Building AI Readiness Program’ for students under INSPIRE MANAK AWARDS. She was among Top 50 projects winners of this joint initiative by @Intel India and India DST- ‘Building AI Readiness among young Innovators’. She also got privilege to meet Union Minister of State (IC), Ministry of Science and Technology. Minister of Earth Science, Dr. Jatinder singh encouraged the top 50 innovators from all over the country at Vigyan Bhavan Delhi. Dr. Namita Gupta, Head of Inspire Manak Awards  awarded her with medal and certificate at Pragati Maidaan.

Principal Dr. Sonia Mago and the school management felt proud of the creative idea presented by her as she is a young innovator. They inspired her to develop her scientific acumen and to excel further as achievements of today are the stepping stones of tomorrow.

KAMP NASTA State topper, Pragati, visited CSIR Lab

Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform “KAMP” is an International intellect E-based assessment platform to evaluate cognizance of 21st century skills, awareness and knowledge of Science, Technology & Humanities among students. It intends to develop creativity, meaningful learning, critical reading and thinking skills that brings out the inherent abilities of the students. Our student Pragati (12-A) got a glorious opportunity to visit CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology to understand the laboratory functions and how each instrument within the lab function.The students were taken to all the Labs within the CSIR-IGIB, such as the Zebrafish facility, Transmission Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscope. She also felt enthusiastic after interaction with Ph.D students, scientists and the great part of the visit was a special interaction with chief scientist Dr. Beena Pillai at CSIR- IGB. 

The principal, Dr.Sonia Mago, known for her innovative techniques in Physics, inspired her to learn from such exclusive interactions as they ignite a spark among students to reach a certain level of accomplishment.

DR. SONIA MAGO HONOURED WITH CBSE HONOUR FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING

Principal Dr. Sonia Mago from Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar brought laurels and glory to the teaching fraternity on being honoured with “CBSE Honour for Excellence in Teaching and School Leadership 2021-22”. She was awarded a certificate of commendation and monetary Award of Rs. 50,000 in a splendid ceremony held at Delhi on 6th September by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Dr. Sonia Mago was selected for Best Teacher (PGT) in Physics and was one among 19 teachers selected across the country.

This achievement was because of her dedication and sincerest devotion for which she has put in tremendous efforts throughout her career. President of the school, Mahamandaleshwar Shantanand Ji felicitated and blessed her on this stellar achievement.

BUDDING SCIENTIST RAYMAN’S EFFORTS SECURE PLACE AMONG TOP 50 INNOVATIVE PROJECTS

Rayman Sharma, student of class VII, of Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar brought laurels with her incredible achievement by securing a position among Top 50 Innovative Projects in an initiative organised by Inspire Manak for Building AI Readiness among young innovators. She had cleared the first stage of this competition and in the second stage of this competition worked on a project which was an E-Commerce Product Review Supervisor after a training session with Intel AI for youth trainers. She will now be felicitated in a ceremony that will be held in Delhi from 14-16 September. Principal Dr. Sonia Mago, a great technology enthusiast herself, blessed the budding scientist on this momentous achievement and encouraged her to continue exploring her scientific temperament in the future too.

‘POETRY IS WHEN EMOTION HAS FOUND ITS THOUGHT AND THOUGHT HAS FOUND WORDS’

Poetry is an echo, a shadow to dance. As poetry is spontaneous flow of emotions collected in tranquility. When emotions are portrayed into words, they are the most beautiful expressions. Nishtha (11-B) has written a poem for mothers and her poem is acknowledged and published by Kavlok, a weekly magazine by President Punjab Press Club, Mr Lakhwinder Johal. It’s of course a big leap towards her writing career.

The principal Dr.Sonia Mago also admired the way she has portrayed the image of a mother and expressed her unconditional love.

Her poem is dedicated to all mothers with gratitude and love.

The crown of success is not easy to achieve. It demands bit of perspiration and a lot more of hardwork. Our student Mehakpreet Kaur (9A) participated in Art Exhibition organised by Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar. The district Culture and Literary society and INTACH ( Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) jointly organised a 3 day art exhibition- Creative Expressions by Kids and Teens at Dr. Stya Paul Art Gallery. Mr. Jaspreet Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar was the chief guest. She displayed her art work and received prize for best artwork alongwith a cash prize of Rs. 1500.

School Innovation Ambassador Program is an Initiative by Ministry of Education and Ministry of tribal Affairs implemented by Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, AICTE. It is such a prestigious program to bring out innovative culture among schools. We really felt pride as our Principal, Dr.Sonia Mago alongwith 4 other teachers – Ms. Sonia Bajaj, Ms. Mamta, Mr.Dinesh Nanda, Ms. Sapna are certified as Innovation Ambassadors after attending 5 modules of this program. In this program, the teachers were trained on the basis of 5 modules such as- Design Thinking & Innovation, Idea generation and Idea Hand holding, Intellectual property rights, Finance HR and Sales, Entrepreneurship and Product/ Prototype Development. The role of the 'Innovation Ambassadors' is to help in creating the culture of Innovation.

We felt great pride when our student Rayman Sharma’s (7-B) idea on Artificial Intelligence got selected at National level among the top 200 idea entries for phase 2 of the’Building Al Readiness among Young Innovators’ program of Inspire Manak Award Competition. She will go through deep dive AI training with Intel AI for youth trainers. She was awarded 10,000 in the first phase by govt of India, Department of science and technology. The principal Dr. Sonia Mago encouraged the budding scientist. The president Mahamandleshwar Swami Shantanand ji inspired the young brainiac for her much pained and innovative efforts.

We are happy to announce the very first educator who is being certified as ‘Be Internet Awesome’ Educator is Mr Aditya Dhand from our school. Mahattattva in collaboration with CBSE and Google India is running a programme to train teachers across India to make young learners to be safe online.  With immense pride we announce that two of our ideas got selected for grand finale of Smart India Hackathon. The first idea was of Puppetry presented by Divnoor, Jotpreet and Nidhi (XII- B) under the mentorship of Ms. Sonali Bathla. The other model was Transition from Stone to Drone which was prepared by Divya X D, MitanshXA Anvay IX A. The team was lead by Ms Richa Jyoti and Mr Surinder Singh. We with profound admiration announce the distinguished acclaim – of our two students Rayman Sharma(VI), Mishthi puri (VII) who participated in Inspire Manak Award –one of the flagship programme by government of India to inspire innovative ideas in the field of science. Their innovative ideas were selected and they have also been awarded with a grant of Rs.10,000 by DST, government of India.

SAFAR-E SHAHADAT- Nikian Jindan Vadde Sake

December marks the legendary sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh ji and four Sahibzadas. The history is a witness of the brutalities they faced during cold days still not submitting to tyrant rulers. The great day is celebrated in our school as students recited poems about their valour .

Our students also participated in Gurmat Quiz – Nikki Jinda Vadde Sake organised by Guru Amar Das Gurdwara , Defence colony. They were well apreciated by the organising committee for their dedicated knowledge and won First Prize. The principal Mrs Kamaljit Kaur also appreciated the participants for their efforts that along with getting academic education they are attached to their roots.

Heartiest Congratulations to Ramnik Kaur, a 9th standard student from Swami Sant Dass Public School who has made us proud by winning the SECOND prize in Punjab State level talent competition “Sanjha Rangle Punjab Diyan”. She was also recognized as the most “Talented Mutiyar” and rewarded with the cash prize of INR 3100.

The event was organized by “Bandhan Event Planner” in which 62 students participated from all over the state. There were four rounds in this competition which included – Introduction, QnA, Talent hunt, LIVE Video conferencing.

A YOUNG GIRL WITH HIGH FLIGHTS

Pawani Bhatia has proved that young age can not bar her to win acclaim. Her meticulous and stupendous achievements in swimming field has made her the youngest swimmer . She won gold medal in 25 metre breaststroke in U 9 inter state championship held at Chandigarh. She also won a bronze medal in freestyle , SILVER medal in breaststroke as well as bronze in 50m breaststroke in U-12 Sahodaya events. Not only that ,this young aquanaut has won best swimmer award twice in the School. Her limits are not only in the field of swimming, this fabulous player won The Youngest Athlete title in mini marathon and received an Outstanding swimmer Award from the DC of Jalandhar and state sports minister. Pawani has proved that there is no boundary to reach anywhere and age is of course a number.

Garima of 1-B is no less than a champ who won two Gold Medals in Roller Skating Competition held at Police DAV Public School , Jalandhar on 19.2.21. Divya of V -C and Kartik Sehgal of V-D too won two Silver Medals in the same competition. Their marvellous achievement brought laurels to the winning tradition of SSDPS.

Our student Pawani Bhatia of class I B participated in Punjab Daily World Marathon held on 31st March 2019 in Jalandhar. she got the prize as youngest athlete to finish the event. She got the prize from Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar Sri Virender Kumar Sharma. 
Manisha and Abhishek got Consolation prize of Rs. 5,000 each in Saksham National Competition under Category “Painting Junior” conducted by Petroleum Conservation Research Association, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India.
Three students got THIRD POSITION out of 2700 teams in project  ‘STAR DUST’ under NASA AMES SPACE SETTLEMENT CONTEST
